I was responsible for...
--Pick up resistance training area by picking up all attachments, weights, and storing them to their proper location --Walk through club to tidy areas that need cleaning --Walk the floor and discuss personal training related material with members of the club --Assist at the front desk including o checking members into the club o referring declined members to membership staff for assistance o sign members in for tanning o make sales transactions o printing tickets for personal training clients o answering phone calls to help assist members with questions about the club --Attend weekly personal training meetings --Run clients through personalized training programs according to their goals

I accomplished...
My greatest accomplishment from my experience was being able to sign a client to a long-term contract with 18 weeks of personal training. This was done by building trust within the client and providing him with the results that he wanted.

I learned...
My greatest learning experience from the internship was learning that every client hour is situational and never to judge a book by its cover. You must take a conservative approach when working with new clients and what works in the past may not work every time.

Advice for others...
I advise to use the internship period as a way to gain the correct way to do your job from your immediate supervisor. This is the best way to find out your exact responsibilities as a worker as they change and shift as you find success within your field.
