I was responsible for...
Data collection, data analysis, and creating a database for future researchers to utilize in their studies. I also created health reports to share with the study's participants that they were able to look over and potentially use to make healthier life choices.

I accomplished...
Successfully recruited over 300 participants to be apart of the Physical Activity and Sarcopenia Study (PASS). I also created a database with all of the participants data that was collected from them. Another accomplishment was creating and sharing health reports with the participants.

My most valuable effort...
The health reports were the most valuable project that I completed. This is because I was able to take concrete data and put together a meaningful health report for the participants to analyze. I enjoyed seeing how the data was collected, entered, and how it was ultimately used in changing lives.

I learned...
The most valuable learning experience I encountered was being able to chat and describe the information that was collected to the participants. This was valuable because I was able to bring out my interpersonal skills and use my knowledge gained at ISU to interpret and relay information to others about their health.

I will never forget...
The most memorable experience was talking with so many participants. I really enjoyed connecting with them and hearing their stories. I was able to learn so much about life. health, and others from talking to over 300 persons aged 65+.

Advice for others...
Come into the experience with an open-mind. It may seem boring at times, but in the end you will realize you learned a lot about research, how it's conducted, and also learn about yourself.
