I was in charge of administrative duties along with coordinating services with several programs such as the food pantry and school supplies program.
I created several new programs to be added to the community actions services. I official zed the donated bread program and perishable item donation program.

I worked to provide food assistance by guiding clients through the food pantry. Withot our pantry, many clients would not have access to food.
I will never forget...
The most memorable experience I had was when our pantry received a special donation of high quality cut meat. One of my clients started crying because they were so happy we not only assisted with their basic needs bit also their moral and dignity.
Advice for others...
I advise students to not just look for paid internships. I learned a lot at my internship and was able to have a lot of one on one training and advising with my supervisor because I worked at a small office.
